Conflict Theory

Control Theory is a Marxist based social theory. It argues that people and groups such as social classes have different amounts of resources and the more powerful groups use their power in order to exploit groups with less power. To put it in an even simpler form, the wealthy abuse the poor because they have more power that comes with their wealth. Let's pretend this chef works by making cookies for the frog. The chef will work all day making cookies and the frog will pay him a wage. This seems to be fair. However, the frog must pay the chef a low wage so that he can make money off of the cookies he plans on selling. There will always be an unfair relationship between boss and employee. Under this theory money will always cause conflict.
